Professional
Communications & Operations Director
From 2009 to November 2015, Matt served as the political spokesman for a U.S. Congressman in order to maintain close relationships with elected officials, community leaders, businesses, and constituents.
In addition to public relations, he was responsible for district communications projects such as writing press releases and district stories, press communications, web design / development, branding, and special events and program marketing.
Furthermore, Matt was responsible for developing and executing large district events and produce content for publications.
EARLY Professional
IN 2007, Matt interned with at Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign headquarters in Boston, MA where he was responsible for following news stories, researching campaigns activity, and transcribing media into text.
In the summer of 2008, Matt was recruited to manage a State Representative campaign against an incumbent in rural West Tennessee. Unfortunately, the campaign lost by a difference of 300 votes with over 30,000 people reported voting. Two years later, that candidate won the election and is currently serving in the Tennessee Legislature.
